How do I find others in my community?
When you register, check the boxes next to the diseases, ailments or conditions that you want to be associated with on the site. Once you do so, you can find others in your community by clicking on Patients, or Communities to see the most request questions posted by your community members.
How do I remove myself from a community?
You can also adjust your subscription to PatientShare communities by editing them on your dashboard. Simply uncheck the boxes next to the communities you do not wish to belong to and click Save Communities.
How do I find others at my hospital?
Click on Hospitals, find your hospital on the list and click the link. This will show you a list of all members being seen at your same hospital.
I'd like to see activity and members in other communities outside of my own. How do I find them?
When navigating through the site, you will automatically be viewing content from "My Communities." In the top right corner of your page, next to "My Communities" you have the option to view "All Communities" or select a specific community to view.
If I set my profile to private, who can see my information?
When you set your profile to private through your Dashboard, only members who you've accepted as Friends can see your profile details. You can see your Friends list by clicking on Friends in the top right corner of the website once logged in. Members who are not in your friend network can only see your user avatar and must request your friendship to see more.
I'd like to invite a friend to participate on the site. Can I do this through PatientShare.com?
At the bottom of the page, you can click on Invite where you will find an invitation form. Enter in your email address and the email of the person you would like to invite to the site along with a welcome message. They will receive an email of this invitation to join PatientShare.com with you.
